Winter camp
This January, our Amelia Earhart Team is thrilled to offer a magical Winter Wonderland Camp, filled with fun and creativity for all children.
Each day will be packed with winter-themed activities designed to spark imagination, inspire creativity, and enjoy the season together. Here’s a peek at our exciting program:
Children will start by crafting their own snow globes with Frozen-themed figures, glitter, and “snow,” creating a special keepsake for the season. We’ll venture outdoors for a winter walk in Neroberg Park, where children can collect pinecones and enjoy the beauty of nature in winter. In keeping with the theme, we’ll visit the Wiesbaden Natural History Museum to explore how animals prepare for winter.
Our science fun includes magic ice experiments using ice, salt, and food coloring, letting children create and observe amazing icy effects. After reading Hans Christian Andersen’s classic The Snow Queen, children can unleash their creativity by drawing scenes inspired by the tale. They’ll also paint vibrant Northern Lights using chalk or watercolor on dark paper, capturing the enchanting colors of a wintry night sky. For a sparkling touch, children will craft beaded snowflakes with pipe cleaners and beads, designing beautiful decorations that shine like real snowflakes.
Each day at Winter Wonderland Camp will be a wonderful experience, offering adventure, creativity, and joy that bring the winter season to life!
