PRESCHOOL PEDAGOGICAL APPROACH
Our approach emphasises the seamless integration of both English and German languages throughout the curriculum and daily activities.
Children engage in language-rich experiences, cultural exchanges, and interactive learning activities that promote bilingualism, multiculturalism, and cognitive development.
We follow project-based educational approach, it involves designing learning experiences centered around thematic projects that incorporate both languages, English and German.
Our main goal in Preschool is to prepare children for first grade in all areas of development:
-
Social and Emotional development
-
Adaptive development
-
Language development
-
Physical development
-
Cognitive development
Teachers select engaging themes or topics that are relevant and interesting to young learners and suitable for bilingual exploration. These projects are often interdisciplinary, incorporating elements of literacy, math, science, art, and social studies.
Language integration
Throughout the project, both English and German are effortlessly woven into every aspect of the curriculum. As the children delve into the project theme, they are immersed in a rich linguistic environment, offering them the chance to hear and speak both languages naturally.
Child-led exploration
Rather than directing every aspect of the project, teachers inspire the children to take the lead in exploring and discovering the chosen topic. Serving as facilitators, they gently guide the children's curiosity, offering resources and posing open-ended questions to spark critical thinking and enhance problem-solving skills.
Hands-on activities
The children immerse themselves in hands-on, experiential learning activities that connect to the project theme. These activities may range from experiments and creative art projects to sensory explorations, imaginative role-playing, outdoor discoveries, and collaborative group work, sparking curiosity and fostering deeper engagement.
Projects often promote collaboration and teamwork among preschoolers. Children work together to solve problems, share ideas, and create artifacts that demonstrate their learning. Collaboration enhances social-emotional development, communication skills, and a sense of community among children.
Collaborative Learning
Documentation and reflection
The teachers thoughtfully capture the children’s learning journeys and progress throughout the project, using a blend of photos, videos, artwork, and written observations to showcase their development.
